Temple Mountain Townsite Campground
Temple Mountain Townsite Campground is a primitive campground located near the San Rafael Swell in central Utah. Situated just two miles west of Goblin Valley State Park, the campground features nine individual sites and one group site, all available on a first-come, first-served basis. With its proximity to Temple Mountain and the San Rafael Reef, the campground offers access to some of Utah’s most unique geological features and recreational opportunities.

How to Get to the Campground
From Highway 70: Take Exit 149 for Hanksville/HWY 24. Travel south for 24 miles and turn right (west) onto Temple Mountain Road, following signs for Goblin Valley State Park. Continue straight for approximately eight miles.
From Hanksville, Utah: Drive north on Highway 24 for 19 miles. Turn left (west) onto Temple Mountain Road, following signs for Goblin Valley State Park. Continue straight for approximately eight miles. The campground is located near Temple Mountain and Behind-the-Reef Roads, shortly after the pavement ends.
