Overview
The campground has 74 reservable sites set among ponderosa pines and incense cedars on the north shore of Hume Lake, at roughly 5,250 feet. Groceries are a short walk away, and boat rentals and other services are within about half a mile. The Forest Service manages the site through a concessionaire.
What to Do
In the warmer months the lake supports fishing, non-motorized boating, hiking, and mountain biking. In winter the area is used for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.
Know Before You Go
The campground runs on a seasonal schedule, generally from late spring into late September, and all sites are reservable through Recreation.gov. Each site has potable water nearby, flush toilets, and a food storage locker. Confirm dates, fees, and availability before you go.
