Overview
The overlook is reached via the Klamath Beach Road exit south of the Klamath River, leading onto the Coastal Loop Drive. Most vehicle sizes can reach the parking area, but RVs and trailers cannot complete the full loop; the High Bluff parking area is the turn-around point for larger vehicles. The site has picnic tables, grills, basic restrooms, and an interpretive exhibit on coastal geology.
What to See
Gray whales pass by in autumn and spring. Eagles and peregrine falcons are often seen riding the air currents along the bluffs. A short trail north of the parking lot leads down to a lower overlook with views of the rocky cliffs to the north.
