Overview
Flint Ridge has eight sites, each holding up to eight people. The west access from the Coastal Trail trailhead on Coastal Drive is a quarter mile to camp; the east access from Alder Camp Road runs 4.5 miles with an 800-foot climb. Cyclists can reach the west trailhead but must walk bikes the final quarter mile, as riding is not allowed on the trail. Sites have food storage lockers, composting pit toilets, and designated fire rings. Up to 50 pounds of dead and downed wood may be gathered per site per day. There is no treated water, so drinking water must be packed in.
What's Nearby
Trails from the camp lead to old-growth coast redwood forest, a historic World War II radar station, and high coastal bluffs.
