Overview
Cherry Gap is an access point in Sequoia National Forest, roughly 3 miles north of Grant Grove and part of the Converse Basin grove. Forest roads run from here to the Chicago Stump, the remains of the General Noble Tree, which was cut in 1897 and sent in pieces to the Chicago World's Fair. The access road is often closed, so check current conditions on the Forest Service website before planning a trip.
