Amenities
The Camp
The campground spreads along the Little Truckee River at 6,100 feet, tucked into a forest of lodgepole pine, aspen, and juniper that provides partial shade. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring, and a few lucky sites sit right on the river. Vault toilets and drinking water keep things civilized without overdoing the development.
The river runs right through camp, which means you can fish for rainbow and brown trout without driving anywhere. That's the main draw here — direct water access in a forest setting that doesn't feel overly managed.
