What to expect
Valentine runs about 1,635 feet, with large main passages and smooth floors and walls that record the lava as it flowed. It was formed by a different lava source than the Cave Loop caves. Most of it can be walked upright, though some spots call for duck-walking, and going to the far end can involve crawling. Like the other caves, it holds near 55 degrees year-round. Stairs lead in, and a helmet and three light sources are required.
