
Marshall Beach is a 400-foot beach on the west shore of Tomales Bay in northern Point Reyes. Most visitors arrive by water, though it can also be reached on the 1.2-mile Marshall Beach Trail off L Ranch Road.

Overview
Marshall Beach is a 400-foot beach on the west side of Tomales Bay. Most visitors reach it by water, by kayak, canoe, paddleboard, or small motorboat. The beach can also be reached on foot, by bicycle, or on horseback via the 1.2-mile Marshall Beach Trail, which descends about 350 feet to the shore.
Getting There
The Marshall Beach Trailhead is at the north end of L Ranch Road, an unpaved 2.6-mile gravel road off Pierce Point Road.
Know Before You Go
The Marshall Beach Trail is for day use only. Overnight campers must hold a permit and must arrive by water; permit holders must camp on the beach specified by the permit.
