Kelham Beach is a secluded shore in southern Point Reyes, formerly reached by a trail descending from a eucalyptus-shaded ranch site about five miles from Bear Valley. Landslides and coastal erosion have made the Kelham Beach Trail impassable; do not attempt to descend.

Overview
The Kelham Ranch site sits above the shore, where an old eucalyptus offers a shaded place to rest and where the Kelham Beach Trail formerly descended to the beach. Visitors may still hike to the ranch site, but the route down to the beach is closed.
Trail Closure
In January 2023, coastal erosion removed roughly the lowest 12 feet of steps at the bottom of the Kelham Beach Trail. In April 2024, a larger landslide took out more of the trail. The route is unstable and moving. The decommissioned trail is no longer maintained and carries hazards including crumbling cliffs and heavy poison oak. Anyone who descends to the beach may be unable to climb back up, putting themselves and rescuers at risk.
