Inside the cave
Indian Well runs about 300 feet. Some sections have loose rock underfoot, so watch your footing. In winter the cave develops ice formations on its floor and walls. A helmet and three light sources are required, as for every cave here. The cave's location near the visitor center makes it an easy first stop after picking up a permit.
