Inside the cave

Hopkins Chocolate runs about 1,405 feet. The ceiling drops to roughly 3 feet, so duck-walking is needed through much of it. Carry a helmet and three light sources, and pick up a free permit at the visitor center. The cave has been closed at times for bat protection and white-nose syndrome screening, so confirm it is open before going in.
