Inside the cave
Hercules Leg runs about 1,948 feet, with Juniper adding roughly 2,363 feet for those who continue through the connection. Expect a passage as low as about 2.5 feet and several other tight, low sections. A helmet and at least three light sources are required, and a free permit comes with white-nose syndrome screening at the visitor center. This is a route for people ready to crawl through extended low ground.
