Overview

The National Park Service purchased this 1,241-acre property in December 2024, adding more than two miles of coastline to the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The land includes coastal bluffs, riparian zones, upland habitat, and archaeological sites. It supports mountain lions, deer, coyotes, and coastal birds, and during migration seasons gray whales, humpback whales, dolphins, and sea lions pass offshore.

Know Before You Go

There are no amenities on site: no water, restrooms, or developed parking. Visitors should come prepared and self-sufficient. Because the acquisition is recent, check current National Park Service information for access status before visiting.
