Overview
The pullout looks toward the Granite Mountains, a range of pale, weathered granite peaks and boulder slopes in the southern preserve. It is a car stop rather than a destination, useful for stretching and taking in the desert on the drive through.
Know Before You Go
There are no services, water, or shade at the pullout, and summer heat is severe, so carry water. Part of the Granite Mountains is a research reserve, so cross-country access in the range is restricted in places.
