Temple Mountain Townsite Campground is a primitive campground located near the San Rafael Swell in central Utah. Situated just two miles west of Goblin Valley State Park, the campground features nine individual sites and one group site, all available on a first-come, first-served basis. With its proximity to Temple Mountain and the San Rafael Reef, the campground offers access to some of Utah’s most unique geological features and recreational opportunities.

While the campground is the only developed camping area in this section of the Swell, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) permits dispersed camping throughout the region for those looking for a more rugged experience. Visitors should note that this is a dry campground, so bringing sufficient water is essential.
