The Camp
The campground sits among the pines at 6,225 feet, offering 20 full hookup sites and 78 water/electric sites. Each comes with a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, while select sites include bear-proof food lockers. A paved bike path connects camp to Lake Tahoe's southern shore in about 10 minutes on foot.
The resort setup means you're never far from conveniences β Bar and Grill, General Store with Deli, full-service marina, and ice cream parlor all sit within walking distance. Peak season brings flush toilets and showers; winter operations scale back with restroom facilities and the dump station closing down.
What to Know
Check-in happens at the Eagles Nest Campground Kiosk on Highway 89, not at the RV Village itself. The property runs 24-hour staffing and on-site security. Firewood and camping supplies are available at the General Store.
This is not a pet-friendly operation β only service dogs are permitted on the property.
Nearby
The southern shore location puts you within reach of several Tahoe classics. Tallac Historic Site and the trail to Mount Tallac sit nearby, while Emerald Bay, Pope Beach, Baldwin Beach, and Fallen Leaf Lake are all accessible from camp. The full-service marina handles your boating and paddling needs, and the network of local trails accommodates both hiking and biking.
