Amenities
The Camp
The campground keeps things simple with 10 sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets handle the basics, but there's no trash service — pack out everything you bring in. The setting offers plenty of downed wood for campfires, which you can collect freely with a valid campfire permit.
What to Know
This is strictly first-come, first-served territory. Show up, claim a spot if one's available, then pay through the Recreation.gov mobile app using their QR code system. Download the app before you arrive — cell service can be spotty or nonexistent once you're here.
The $6 nightly fee reflects the bare-bones amenities, but that's the point. This isn't a place for RV hookups or hot showers; it's for OHV enthusiasts who need a legal place to camp near their riding areas.
OHV Rules
California's Green Sticker program funds this campground, and the regulations are strict. All vehicles need current registration — Green Sticker, Red Sticker, or highway license. Motorcycles require DOT helmets and spark arresters. Sound limits cap at 96 decibels, and unlicensed kids need licensed adult supervision.
The usual prohibitions apply: no drinking and driving, no reckless operation, no excessive speed. Forest Service roads are public roads, so standard traffic laws govern your ride between camp and trail.
